Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

Welcome back to The Blossomer!

Now that we are in the month of May, there is plenty to celebrate including Mother’s Day. According to Block Talk on HRBlock.com, $14.6 billion dollars are spent on Mother’s Day for about 85,400,000 Moms.  Thankfully, we’ve got favors that will help your customers show their Mothers how appreciative they are.

A great small gesture you can offer your customers is making their Mother’s favorite baked goods and presenting them in our Mini Cookie Jars. Add baked goods or candies to these jars and adorn with decorative embellishments such as ribbon or twine, which are both sold separately for an added touch of personality.

For customers looking to give their Mothers multiple, small gifts, suggest our Sweet Shoppe Candy Boxes. These boxes can be filled with sweet treats or pampering goodies, such as nail polishes, nail filers, or our Hand Cream.

For those customers looking to have these favors at their Mother’s Day event, they have the option of including a stylish personalized label sharing a special message or leaving them blank to add their own creative touch.

Our Tuesday Tip today is a gift idea that any Mother is sure to appreciate. We found a fresh Lemon Mint Sugar Scrub by Keri from ShakenTogetherLife.com. Her bright scrub will relax and rejuvenate and fits in 3 of our 4 oz Mason Jars.

DIY with our Blank Favors

Welcome back to The Blossomer!

As a lot of you already know, people enjoy working on projects and showing off their favors and decor that they’ve created themselves. Many like the satisfaction of seeing an idea in their head come to life using their own hands. Trendreports.com, a site that keeps a variety of companies updated on the latest trends, published a report in April of 2014 titled “The DIY Trend Report”.  It included DIY market research & consumer trends relating to: home renovation, weddings, crafts & craftmanship. DIY crafts are a trend that have gained a lot of ground.

One of the questions we get asked quite often is whether or not we offer our favors without having to purchase the labels, and the answer is, we do. Your customers are more than welcome to order blank favors that are included in our DIY Blank Favors category. This way they’re able to decorate and customize them to their liking.

Some favorite DIY favors include:

DIY Mini Cookie Jars

DIY Sweet Shoppe Candy Boxes

DIY Mini Mason Jars

We also offer great accessories to our favors including:

Satin Bows

Chevron Straws & Striped Straws

Baker’s Twine

Event Blossom has over 25 DIY Blank Favors, along with 6 add on accessories. Make sure to offer these options the next time your customers want to “Do It Themselves”.

Chalk It Up with Chalkboard Inspired Favors

Hello again Blossomers!

I hope you all had a relaxing Easter weekend visiting with friends and family! We sure did, and I’m excited to be back detailing one of the product lines that Event Blossom has launched this year:  Chalkboard Inspired Favors! The Chalkboard trend is on the rise in the creative and crafty scene. Chalkboard is said to be one of the top three trends in crafting and was even featured at this year’s Craft & Hobby Association’s Conference. It can be seen in home decor, advertising, and on party favors.

With over 60 options to choose from, your customers will find a favor matching their celebration.  Choose between personalized or DIY, blank Vinyl Chalkboard Labels. Our personalized labels can be customized to a variety of event themes, including weddings, birthdays, graduations, and more. In order to make our Chalkboard Labels pop, the Event Blossom design team has added more detail to the icons and given the option to choose between vintage blue, pink, mint, and white as an icon color, all appearing as if they were created with chalk. Of course, all personalized labels give you the option to add your name, event date, or a personal message.

Some of our more popular labels & favors include:

Lollipops

Flag Labels

Frame Labels
Our blank DIY Vinyl Chalkboard Labels and favors are another option for your customers. These heavy duty labels are easy to peel and stick.  With blank centers and white borders, customers can use regular chalk, thin point recommended, or chalk markers and turn any glass or ceramic favor into a place card or table number for their guests.

Our popular blank labels & favors include:

Framed Chalkboard Table Easels

Chalkboard Place Cards

Framed Place Cards

Leaving the labels blank will allow guests to write their own names, or whatever they please, which is also a great way to mark drinks or places at a table. Afterwards, they can wipe the labels clean and reuse their favors at home, which make them quality keepsakes for any event.

Our team is packed with creativity that we love to share with you and that you can share with your customers.  In honor of Earth Day, our Tuesday Tip is a DIY project we found reusing tin cans, which most people have in their pantries. Turn any tin can into a charming and inviting lantern for your garden or home that omits light through punched out holes. Finish these lanterns off with some paint and you’re done! Tin cans also make great, eye-catching desk accessories as pencil or pen holders.

Get Your Game On

Hello again Blossomers!

I hope you all had a fun and relaxing weekend! Have you been waiting in anticipation for our next update? Well you’re in for a challenge today! Come play some entertaining party games with us! Event Blossom has released Bingo, Scratch Off Cards, and Shower Games!

Who doesn’t love a game of BINGO? Your guests will have a blast playing this fun and interactive game! Our Bingo Cards are pre-printed with numbers or words related to your celebration and no two cards are alike! We’ll even provide you with a word list, so all you have to do is tear the words out, drop them in a bowl, and draw at random. Guests can use a pen to cross the words or numbers off, or you can get creative and use a sweet treat like Life Savers or even our personalized Hershey’s Kisses chocolates as markers. With almost thirty different designs to choose from, you can easily find Bingo Cards to match your celebration! Your Bingo Card package will contain sixteen cards, with the option of personalization. Just make sure your guests don’t forget, get five in a row and yell BINGO!

Invite your guests to have their hearts race anticipating a win on our Scratch Off Cards! Your guests will scratch off the silver icon and a reveal a hidden surprise. Revealing cookies in our pregnant woman’s belly will be an upset, but the guest who finds the baby is a winner! Each package comes with eleven losing cards and one lucky winning card. These exciting Scratch Off Cards are perfect for wedding showers, baby showers, and even Bachelorette Parties!

Our Shower Games give you the option to choose from three interactive games your guests can participate in. Each package includes ten game cards of all the same game and an answer key. You can add striped pens to any game order to accessorize your cards and give your guests as a keepsake.

Our Word Scramble game cards will have your guests unscrambling words related to your occasion. You can even have a timer ticking away for added pressure. The guest who unscrambles the most words in the time given wins!

The next Shower Games option is called “What’s In Your Purse?” Your guests will go through their purses and mark off the items they have in their purse that are listed on the card. The more uncommon the item, the more points rewarded. The guest with the highest points wins!

Our last option from our Shower Games is our Sweet Candy Bar Match Up. Your guests will match up words related to your celebration with popular Candy Bar names. For example, “bridesmaids” would obviously match up with “Hot Tamales”!

Now for an Easter themed Tuesday Tip? This is a personal favorite egg dying tradition of mine. This simple and fun trick is for “Dinosaur Eggs”. You just need your normal egg dying accessories such as, eggs, dyes, and vinegar. All you have to do is gently crack the hard-boiled eggs before dying them in your selected colors. Hide them for your egg hunt and allow the kids to peel away the eggshell to reveal the “Dinosaur Egg” or do it yourself and use them as a deviled egg side dish that will bring beautiful, bright colors to your Easter feast! A simple, fun project the whole family can enjoy! Check out this project and many more on our Spring Themed Party board on the Event Blossom Pinterest page and be sure to visit our Facebook and Twitter pages for fun Easter facts and tips all week long!

Until Thursday Blossomers!

Day 19: Popcorn in a Jar

Have you heard?  The Event Blossom Team gets to enjoy a four day weekend for the Fourth of July!  Although it’s officially been summer for a couple weeks now, I consider this the real beginning of my favorite season of the year.  What better way to kick off the summer than with a morning at the beach, afternoon barbequing with friends, and fireworks to end an entire day of fun?  Of course, no Independence Day would be complete without the sound of laughing children throwing little poppers throughout the neighborhood as they make their way back from the local fireworks display.  Speaking of things that go POP…

popcornjar1POPCORN!  Even better, caramel popcorn.  Our mini mason jars hold a generous amount of this classic treat, although you can never really have enough in my opinion.  Add a sweet message to match and express your love and thanks to loved ones for celebrating your next special occasion.

We have only 11 more days left of our Mason Jars: 30 Ways in 30 Days series.  That’s 11 more days of fun!

Have a wonderful weekend,
Kim

P.S. Just a friendly reminder: Event Blossom will be closed on Thursday, July 4, and Friday, July 5.  We’ll be back in action on Monday!

Day 8: Trail Mix in a Jar

mini mason jars

Summer is just around the corner (the official first day of summer is June 21).  With the sun staying up later, it’s the perfect season to spend outdoors.  A little survey around the office came up with these outdoor, summertime favorites: BBQ’s, biking, basketball, football, wakeboarding, and softball.  As for me, I can usually be found at one beach or the other.

Aside from maybe the BBQ’s, all of these have the potential to build up a massive appetite.  The solution to those hunger pangs between meals??  Trail mix!  There are endless combinations of ingredients to these easy-to-throw-together-and-go mixtures. This is what we put in ours:

mini mason jars

  • peanuts
  • almonds
  • dried cranberries
  • colorful chocolate covered sunflower seeds

So, put your favorite mix in a mini mason jar for the outdoorsy types in your life.  Or, even better, grab some trail mix for yourself and get outside and have some fun!

Day 6: Cupcakes in a Jar

cupcake_edit

Our first Mason Jar project was a delicious cookie mix that loved ones can make on their own.  In this next idea, we filled one of our Mini Mason Jars with scrumptious cupcakes that can be enjoyed right away!

cupcakejar3

Here’s what we did:

  1. Took some ready-made cupcakes
  2. Cut the cupcakes into small pieces so that they could be easily layered in the mini jar
  3. Picked out our favorite colored frostings
  4. Placed alternating layers of cupcakes and frosting in the jar til we got to the top (in this case it was 2 layers of cake and 2 layers of frosting).

If you’re making a large amount of these, a simpler way to make the cake layers is to bake one large cake and cut that into pieces instead of using individual cupcakes.

As an added touch, finish each jar off with some Baker’s Twine and a Wooden Chevron Spoon for a ready-to-eat dessert that you can give out as a gift, party favor, or after-dinner treat!

Mason Jars: 30 Ways in 30 Days

Now that the product launch is over, the celebration can really begin! I’m starting out our summer of fun with an exciting series of posts inspired by a new favorite of ours: Mason Jars! What I love the most about these jars is that they are so versatile and there are so many ways to put these vintage style jars to use.  In fact, Life Hacker recently challenged readers to “Hack Something Using Mason Jars,” and the responses were awesome!  It’s just one example of many how a little bit of creativity can turn these ordinary jars into something extraordinary.

So, my dear Blossomers, for the next thirty days we’re going to be sharing 30 different ways that these versatile jars can be used. Many of them will be great pins we’ve found on Pinterest, but we’ve also got a few ideas of our own.  Let’s start off day one with one of these of our own creations:

Day 1: Cookie Mix in Mason Jar

cookiemix1

Who doesn’t love the smell of cookies baking in the oven?  Cookie mixes in a Mason Jar make a great DIY gift for every occasion.  Our friend Kate over at the Sugar Therapy blog came up with a cookie mix recipe that fits perfectly into our new Mini Mason Jars.

1.  Gather your ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup flour, combined with 1/4 tsp baking soda and a pinch of salt
  • 2 tbsp packed brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 -tbsp oats
  • 3 heaping tbsp mini chocolate chips (or similar sized candy of your choice)

cookiemix2

2. Layer the ingredients into the jar in the order listed above (flour goes at the bottom, brown sugar on top of that, etc.)

cookiemix

3.  Seal with a Cookie Mix Mason Jar Recipe Tag.

If you find yourself at the receiving end of one of these delicious favors, here’s how you turn your cookie mix into a yummy treat:

Yield: 4 mini cookies
1.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2.  Combine 2 tbsp butter, 1/4 tsp vanilla, and 1 egg yolk
3.  Stir all ingredients into the dry mix until evenly combined
4.  Form four small balls of dough and place at least 1-2 inches apart on cookie sheet
5.  Bake for 4-5 minutes or until golden brown

Enjoy!

Keep your eyes on our Pinterest Boards for more ideas.

29 more days to go!
